Your Support

The cost of running a local treasure like our arts center, even in a small-town, rural county like Ashtabula, grows enormously each year.

The value—teaching dance, music, theater, and visual arts classes to students of all ages, collaborating with schools and other nonprofits, contributing to the region’s economic development and tourism efforts, and bolstering community pride—is immeasurable.

The budget for our 2016-17 membership year (July 1-June 30) is nearly $700,000. Our expenses include salaries, benefits, stipends, payroll taxes, sets, costumes, lighting and sound, utilities, insurance, rights and royalties, advertising, technology, maintenance of our beautiful 40-year-old building, and other expenses related to operating a professional arts center.

Ticket sales and tuition at affordable prices cover not quite half of the annual budget for year-round classes and performances. That’s why your support of our artistic programming and financial well-being is truly vital.
